The Project
What is The Lamington Cake Project?
The Lamington Cake Project, known as Project Lamington for short, is a fundraising project in aid of the devastating Australian Bushfires. The Lamington Cake Project, known as Project Lamington for short, sees London’s top chefs, cooks and bakers joining forces to create their own version of the iconic Australian cake to support this momentous cause.
Each chef and baker participating in this project will bake two batches of twelve unique lamington cakes, one which will be up for grabs in a silent auction and the other in its own raffle. Win a batch of twelve lamington cakes by a particular chef or baker by donating through a silent auction or raffle on the Donate To Win page.
The silent auctions and raffles close on 29th February 2020 at 23:59. Winners will be notified via email and the lamingtons will be ready for collection or delivery in early March. Please read our delivery FAQs for delivery info.
100% of the proceeds will be split amongst the following charities: Red Cross Australia, The Salvation Army Australia, CFA (Country Fire Authority), NSW Rural Fire Service, and WIRES Wildlife Rescue.
The Lamington Cake Project is based on the successful fundraising project, The Mince Pie Project.
